More Snow!

We have gotten more snow this January then I can remember. Colin's school has been canceled 3 times already this month.... but we are enjoying staying home and playing in the snow!
I gave each of the kids a bite snow. Followed by a strict lecture that only Mommy can do this so that they don't pick up and eat any dirty snow. Fat chance of Janessa following those rules!

Climbing the play structure. It was a little slippery with the snow.

Eliana bundled in her bunting suit sleeping in the sling.
Guess the cold weather didn't bother her a bit.

Cheese!

Making tracks

Clearing off the snow at the top of the play structure onto Mommy, of course!

Raking and more cleaning up.

Eliana says "AHHH GOOO"

Eliana is 7 almost 8 weeks old now. In the last couple of days she has started talking to us. She has to be in a certain mood but when she gets going its adorable!
Last night at the Dexter's house was one of those moments.
Grandma Vicki was holding her and I grabbed the camera.

She starts with some beautiful smiles.

Then big giggles and flirty eyes.

Then she starts cooing. Well actually "AHH GOOO"ing!

Recent kiddo pictures

I never know what to do with all the random pictures that I take. They don't seem to warrant a blog post of their own so here is a collection of some recent pictures.
Colin & Eliana
She is having one of her favorite "looking at the ceiling fan" sessions.

Colin riding his little trike up and down the halls of Grandma & Grandpa Dexter's house.

Eliana modeling her beautiful sweater that my friend Katherine knit for her.
Notice the rose buttons in honor of her middle name!

Colin hanging out on my bed in the sunshine.

Janessa in a rare cooperative moment- she actually looked at the camera and smiled!

Sister moment

Goofballs!

Janessa showing off her pretty painted fingernails and toes.
She got to go with Mommy to the store and pick our any color of polish she wanted.

Colin with a toy crawfish on his head. What he won't think up next!!

Butterfly play mat

Eliana seemed to want some time to check out the world so we got out the butterfly play mat. It has been with us since Colin was born and each kiddo has taken their turn on it.

Big brother kisses!

Lots of giggles! I didn't know that all three of them could fit on it at once- let alone be so gentle with their baby sister and enjoy each others company so much. What fun!!

Big sister kisses!
Very hard to capture on film- they are given at the speed of light!

Reading with Grandpa Ron

Colin receievd this book for Christmas and it has become a favorite.
Especially when they can snuggle up with Grandpa Ron!

Janessa's really tall tower

We found a rare quiet and alone moment and built lots of towers.
At first they were manageable size, not exactly sturdy but very colorful.

Then it was on to the tallest one on record. Before it eventually fell she could not reach the top and actually asked Mommy to help. It was a fun time spent with my big girl!

Eliana- 1 month old

Time seems to be flying by at a faster rate than usual... don't know if that is because of the holiday season, having three kids, or just life in general.
A rare but sweet picture of Eliana with her eyes open! She is spending a lot more time lately looking around and getting to know her family and surroundings.

She is by far the strangest sleeper we've ever seen. Her arms seem to levitate! There is no reasoning for the posture but her arms are usually straight up, sometimes both, sometimes one, sometime over her head. She also makes some of the strangest "alien" sounds while she is sleeping. At least she sleeps!!

Sporting her new outfit from Uncle Tim & Aunt Julie.
Holding her hand in Aunt Kelley's favorite pose.
What an angel!
Cuddled up in her soft blanket that Great Aunt Marie made for her.

Special time with cousins

These are actually the kid's second cousins, my uncles girls, but they don't understand the difference and would fight to claim them as their own!

Colin added to the heap and some silly faces!

Merry Christmas!

The kids were really excited to make Santa and the reindeer a special goodie plate before they went to bed on Christmas Eve. This is what they found when they woke up the next morning...
Colin's reaction was priceless, "Look Mom, the reindeer even signed it!"
A special thanks to Auntie Kelley who was my "partner in crime"

Colin received a new cap rifle. He has already gone thru a whole package of cap strips.

Santa brought him a "kid-tough" digital camera. Courtesy of Mom's bigger memory card he has about 400 pictures stored on it. His favorite subjects seem to be himself- in very creative ways, and the tv. At least he has quit asking me to use mine!

Janessa received some more things for her kitchen.
Now she is ready to cook with the pros and can be sooo fashionable in the process!

Thanks Auntie Shell! We can't wait to do artwork in the bath tub!

These pillow pals are tooo cute!
Colin has already figured out that when he takes the blanket out he can then wear the pillow as a hat. It's a little dangerous to go running thru the house with it on his head but the giggles he gets are irrestible.

Janessa's is a poodle pillow pal with matching princess blanket.
It couldn't fit her more perfectly!
She sleeps with them every nap and bedtime.

Colin displaying some of their bath artwork.
Look closely on the wall- there is a special thank you to Auntie Shell & cousins.
